Regeneration: Through the re-use of historical buildings for a wide variety of uses, the Trust aims to enable both social and economic regeneration of Hayle.
Education: Linking with local schools, colleges and universities, enabling wider access to collections and information.
To reverse the decline of an important part of Hayle's history though turning a decaying underused area into a vibrant centre, which will contain a heritage and education centre, artisan's studios and craft workshops, office space for start up businesses with a research centre based on an industrial archive that comprehensively contains records charting the importance that Hayle and the Harvey and Copperhouse foundries played from the late 18th Century onwards in Britain's Industrial Heritage. It is our intention to eventually becoming the centre for expertise and learning not only about Harvey's Foundry but also about Copperhouse Foundry and the history of Hayle itself.
The overall vision is of a sustainable development, with a wide range of uses that will underpin and support a Harvey's Foundry Heritage and Educational Centre.
It is through these actions that the Trust also aims to become one of the catalysts for the significant and sustainable economic and social regeneration of Hayle.
Harvey's Foundry Trust operates principally as a charity and also as a company limited by guarantee.
